Realme has been doing a series of interactive sessions with the fans. AskMadhav, Weekly Solutions, QnA with Devs, etc. have helped the OEM establish two-way communication with the users.

Realme UI 2.0 is around the corner and a good number of devices are in line to receive the update. This has left users wondering whether their desired features would make it to the final version of Realme UI 2.0.

In the 38th episode of Weekly Solutions, admins have shortlisted a wide range of issues that is troubling users, as well as some Realme UI 2.0 feature related disclosures.

  1. Check that the source video format is indeed H. 264 / AVC;

  2. Keep in mind that playing non-hd videos (such as H. 265, V9P videos) will cause for the hardware acceleration to automatically turn off. You will need to turn it back one to play HD content.

Next is a feature called Personal Information Protection that has gone missing from the new devices, and will completely be removed from the existing ones with a future OTA update. Here’s the reason why:

Q. Why is Personal Information Protection missing from my device?

Realme has also shed some light on the features that would make it to the Realme UI 2.0 including 3rd-party icons, a voice changer feature in the game space, and discussion around the availability of a few other features as well. Here’s the snippet of the Q&A:

A. Yes, all 3rd party icons are supported, and the default style is kept for those apps that are not supported in the downloaded icon pack.

A. No, this feature will not be provided. Accurately recognizing and adjusting to different accents can be complicated. After thorough testing the results are not on par with our standards.

A. Yes, they all do. It’s only that this feature has been integrated directly to the system in order to work in the background – hence there is not an actual setting switch for it.

A. This feature will not be provided. Upcoming notifications pop up on the AOD or turn the screen on – both ways are less invasive than having the camera LED flashing all the time.

A. No, there is currently no plan for this – yet the AOD on AMOLED screen uses very little power so there is barely any impact by leaving it always on.

A. No, this is not possible because of the agreement with Google for those devices. If you have any issue about the Google dialer and messages, please share your feedback with us and we will forward it to Google.
