New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on May 11, 2022) follows:

Developed by Firemonkeys Studios, Real Racing 3 is a racing game released in 2016 with focus on providing a realistic driving experience.

Real Racing 3 is especially designed for low power platforms (such as mobile devices and TV Boxes), so its focus on realism makes it quite a unique ‘racing simulator’.

Recently, Real Racing 3 received its most recent update. However, it seems that the new patch brought serious issues for players.

More specifically, the latest Real Racing 3 version 10.4.2 update is crashing on mobile devices (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12).

Real Racing 3 crashing or not opening on mobile devices

According to multiple reports, currently many Real Racing 3 players are experiencing crashes as soon as they launch the game.

The vast majority of reports related to the problem come from iOS users. But, there are also some Android users who experience similar situations.

Just updated RR3 on my iPad Pro. Now, when starting the app, it loads for a few seconds, then crash-closes. I restarted the iPad several times. The game refuses to load. I don’t feel like reinstalling so time to take a break. Source

Real Racing 3 v10.4.2 update reportedly brought the issue

The new Real Racing 3 v10.4.2 update patch reportedly is the cause of the crashing issue.

In some cases, the problem has even more serious consequences. Some players report that their save files are missing after the game crashed.

Official acknowledgment, potential workarounds

Real Racing 3 developers are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. However, there are no details yet on an ETA for the fix’s rollout.

In the meantime, there are a couple of workarounds that could help mitigate the issue. First, you can try rebooting your device twice (without opening the game between reboots) and then try accessing the game.

If the above workaround doesn’t work, some users report that reinstalling the game helps resolve the issue.

We will update this story once new details related to the matter emerge.
