New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on August 8, 2022) follows:
Razer Synapse is a configuration software that allows you to assign macros (automated set of commands) to any of your Razer peripherals. This also helps Razer Synapse users save all of their settings to the cloud automatically.
Its recent Razer Synapse 3 software update lets users customize Chroma lighting effect, create and assign macros and so on. But all of it comes at the cost of mapping and connectivity issues.
According to many users (1,2,3,4,5), Razer software is unable to recognize their devices following the update to v3.7.731.72516.
We’ve added a few reports about the problem for reference:
It seems that Razer Synapse is not recognizing all kinds of devices. The issue is consistent with mice, keyboards, laptops, headsets, and so on.
Some of those affected have also tried deleting and redownloading the drivers and Synapse but all in vain.
A Redditor also walked through a somewhat similar step, including uninstalling and re-installing Windows OS, but the Razer Synapse’s inability to recognize devices remained unaffected.
However, another Redditor seems to have found a workaround to temporarily fix the issue.
Unfortunately, the Razer Synapse team has not officially acknowledged the issue with the software not recognizing devices but we hope they fix it soon.
That said, we will keep tabs on the latest developments and update this article as and when anything noteworthy comes up.

12:20 pm (IST): According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6), a recent update to Razer Synapse has caused connectivity issues preventing users’ devices from being detected. Some are also facing issues where it is deleting the user control profiles.
Fortunately, we have come across a workaround that can help fix the issue temporarily. You can check it out below:

12:50 pm (IST): According to reports, the recent Synapse update v20221208 is causing multiple performance (beep sound) and connectivity issues for Razer users (1,2,3,4).
