Ranveer Singh has raised everyone’s eyebrows since the past week with his nude photoshoot for a magazine and netizens were all gaga over him. However, the photoshoot has apparently not impressed everyone and has had many obligations. The act has left the Padmaavat actor in trouble as a case was registered of a First information Report (FIR) against Ranveer for “hurting sentiments of women” through his nude photographs on social media, said a PTI reported.
“We received an application from a person associated with an NGO on Monday. No FIR is registered so far. We are enquiring ,” the official said who reported by the PTI.
Hence, through his photoshoot, Ranveer was paying tribute to legendary actor Burt Reynolds, who was considered a sex symbol and an icon of American pop culture. In one of the pictures, shot for Paper magazine, Ranveer can be seen lying on a rug naked recreating Burt Reynolds famous photograph.
The complaint application was submitted at the police station in Chembur by an office-bearer of a NGO, which also in the east of Mumbai. The complainant stated the actor has hurt the sentiments of women and insulted their modesty through his photographs, the official said. The complainant demanded the registration of a case against the actor under the Information Technology Act and various sections of the IPC.
On the work front, Ranveer Singh was recently seen in Jayyeshbai Jordar and is having releases of films Cirkus and Rocky Aur Rani Ke Prem Kahaani.
