Rajinikanth has been hospitalised to Chennai’s Kauvery Hospital. He was sent to the hospital for a ‘regular checkup,’ according to his team. On Thursday around 4.30 p.m., he arrived at the hospital.

Annaatthe, Rajinikanth’s latest film, is set to hit theatres on November 4th. Sun Pictures produced the film, which was directed by Siruthai Siva. Annaatthe was screened at a private studio in Chennai on October 27. On Wednesday, the actor attended a private viewing of the film with his family.

IN 2020, THERE WILL BE A HEALTH SCARE The 70-year-old film actor was hospitalised to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad in December 2020 after experiencing tiredness and blood pressure fluctuations. At the time, he was filming a movie. He made a full recovery and was released two days later.

He said a few days later that he will not be forming the political party he had planned to form before the 2021 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. His current health concern, he claimed, was a “warning from God.”

He claimed at the time, “This strikes me as a warning from the Lord. I would not be able to cause political upheaval among people and win big in elections if I solely campaigned through the media and social media after I founded the party. This is a truth that no one with political expertise can deny.”

The celebrity has previously undergone a kidney transplant.
