New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on September 30, 2021) follows:

If you are into online multiplayer titles, you must have heard of Rainbow Six Siege by Ubisoft. The game was released on the PC back in 2015 and has been going strong ever since.

The multiplayer aspect of the game divides players into two parts, one being the defending side while the other one’s attack.

Rainbow Six Siege is known for its realistic gunplay and destructible mechanics. Having said that, the developers do frequently update the game.

Unsurprisingly, some updates result in a bug or issue that might cause players to be either at a disadvantage or make the game unplayable.

Recently, some players reported that Ash’s G36c and Zofia’s M762 sounded muffled. And if it wasn’t enough, many Rainbow Six Siege players are now reporting that the game is crashing or freezing randomly.

Majority of these reports came after the latest update. Players are angry with Ubisoft since they are losing Ranked games and MMR because of the random crashes.

This affects those who play the game professionally and want to push their rank on the leaderboards. Casual players who want to enjoy the game seem frustrated as well.

Based on the reports, the issue seems to be affecting PC, PlayStation, and the Xbox Series S/X players.

For many, Rainbow Six Siege is crashing or freezing after at the map loading screen, causing players to get disconnected from matches and some even getting temporarily banned.

The developers are yet to acknowledge the issue and it still remains unclear when it will be resolved. We will keep an eye out for further updates and let you know when the issue gets fixed.

Update 1 (August 12, 2022)

12:59 pm (IST): Many Rainbow Six Siege players are reporting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) that the game is freezing for them after the recent update.

Some of those affected pointed out that it is due to Nvidia drivers. However, Nvidia has come out to elucidate that it’s caused by the recent patch as players using cards from other brands have also reported the same issue.

Update 2 (Sept. 28, 2022)

10:53 am (IST): Many Rainbow Six Siege players are again reporting crashing issues with the game after the recent Y7S3 update. Gamers say that they are getting error CE-34878-0 on PS4.

Furthermore, players are facing multiple issues (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) where they are getting kicked out of game and unable to reconnect, or even getting temporarily banned. Luckily, we have come across a potential workaround for the crashing issue.

Workaround:

Fortunately, Ubisoft support has acknowledged the crashing issue with Rainbow Six Siege and said that they are currently investigating it.
