As players get more missions in Rainbow Six Extraction under their belts, it becomes more clear what moments are most deadly to the squad. Players welcome tagging nests. But summoning elite bosses and protecting detonation charges? Not so much.

The most valuable operators are the ones that make these objectives more doable and Gridlock is one of the best. Her mines both deal damage and slow units caught in them, providing the utility squads need to possibly pull off a big victory in Rainbow Six Extraction.

Primary Weapon - F90

  • Holographic Sights Suppressor Vertical Grip

Most operators predominantly use their primary weapon as their “loud” gun and the secondary wealth as the suppressed and stealth option. Gridlock is one of the few who is better off reversing the roles. The F90 merits consideration as one of the best weapons in the game, especially when using it silently.

It is an automatic weapon, but even the single shots are deadly. The F90 can kill with a single hit to a weak spot from any distance. The sights on it will give Gridlock a more accurate aiming capacity when compared to other traditional operators.

Secondary Weapon - Super Shorty

  • Holographic Sights

Those who master getting lots of experience in as expeditious a manner as possible will get quick access to the Super Shorty, a shotgun that should act as Gridlock’s backup plan when things start heading in the wrong direction.

It only carries three shells per “clip” but the reload is fast and the damage is enough to rack up three bodies with three blasts. It’s also highly mobile, so backpedaling while firing should work out just fine. Against units slowed by her mines, the Super Shorty is the last thing any opponent wants to see.

Explosive Tech - Fragmentation Grenade

The Fragmentation grenade isn’t the most popular weapon in the game due to the absurd time it takes to explode. But Gridlock can get around this issue because of the slow effect her mines apply. units that enter can’t get out of it before the Fragmentation Grenade explodes.

Gear - Revive Kit

The perfect run is a beautiful concept but largely a fictitious one. The best-made plans can be ruined and sometimes a less-than-experience squadmate can’t help but anger wave after wave. Though Gridlock can handle this situation nicely, even she will need help when getting attacked from all sides.

The Revive Kit allows players to lift themselves up after getting knocked down, allowing teammates to get to safety instead of forcing them to mount a rescue operation. Also, Gridlock can kill a few aliens while she’s down before using the Revive Kit.

Rainbow Six Extraction was released on January 20th, 2022, and is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
