Last week, video game developer Sega launched Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, a free-to-play online action role-playing game as the latest installment in Sega’s popular Phantasy Star series. The game is available on Xbox and PC.

New Genesis comes as a big upgrade to the now decade-old Phantasy Star Online 2, bringing substantial new graphical improvements, more features, new character customizations, and an open-world experience.

Like most online games PSO2 New Genesis also suffered from performance issues and bugs at launch that are now slowly being fixed by Sega with regular server maintenance.

After recent server maintenance, some players started reporting an unusual new bug that they are facing.

According to PSO2 New Genesis players, while completing the Urgent Quests, the main boss does not appear in the gameplay or they can’t see him.

The developers have replied that they are aware of the issue and are investigating it, they also said that corrupted game files may be the cause for the bug and advised to reinstall the game.

Some players are also reportedly having issues in transferring to PSO2 blocks from New Genesis. The developers have acknowledged this issue as well and are working on a fix.

There is a possibility this is related to corrupted game files. If you reinstall, let us know if this solves the issue for you. (Source)

We are hopeful that Sage will soon fix all the bugs and issues with Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis. We will keep an eye on any further developments related to New Genesis and keep you updated.
