Samantha Ruth Prabhu is going places, and she’s going places fast. The actress has signed her next project, and it is not just any project. She will shortly begin work on a film titled Arrangements Of Love with Downton Abbey director Philip John. Samantha will play a bisexual character who operates her own detective business in the film. According to Variety, “a whole new world opens up for me today as I begin my journey with Arrangements of Love, which has such an adorable and personal tale.” The actress also stated that she is “ecstatic” to be working with Philip John.
“I am thrilled to be working with Philip John, whose projects I have closely followed for many years as a Downton Abbey fan.” I’m excited to work with Sunitha again, and I’m hoping for even more success than we had with Oh! Baby. My character is complex, and playing it will be both a struggle and a chance for me. “I can’t wait to get on set,” Samantha said, according to Variety.
Samantha tried out for the part. The last time the actress auditioned was for the film Ye Maya Chesave 12 years ago. The actress captioned a photo of herself with the legendary filmmaker, “A whole new universe… I last auditioned for Ye Maya Chesave in 2009. I had the same nervousness 12 years later when I auditioned again.
It’s not every day that you get to audition for a BAFTA award-winning, critically renowned director of your favorite television show, Downton Abbey.” “Jumping with excitement that you chose me, sir Philip John,” she wrote at the end of the letter.
