The third episode of the popular Power Universe series, Raising Kanan, according to Deadline, “tells the genesis story of the ultimate franchise baddy, the titular Kanan Stark” (MeKai Curtis). The series uses Kanan’s mother Raquel “Raq” Thomas (Patina Miller), who oversees the family’s drug business, to shed light on his entry into the criminal underworld. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson first played Kanan in the original series.
