Recently, we saw the Poco brand that has since been a sub-brand under mother-company, Xiaomi, putting on its big boy pants and going independent.
One of the last devices to get launched by Poco and one that made so many headlines was the Poco X3 NFC. The device’s spec-to-price ratio is still very lucrative.
Picture this, the base model that comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage runs on the Snapdragon 732G chip, comes with a 5160mAh battery, a 64MP main camera, and a 6.6-inch display. All this runs you a mere $250.
That is a lot of value for not that much money. However, and as is often the case with any smartphone, there are a few issues dogging this device.
According to users, the Poco X3 NFC’s camera has a few issues that surround its ability to focus and the camera app freezes a lot.

The other grave camera issue that users of the Poco X3 NFC are reporting has to do with the app’s instability. The app seems to be crashing for a number of these device owners (1,2,3).
Back in October, we saw a moderator on the community forum promising fixes in an upcoming update. Since then, the November update has rolled out but that changelog didn’t mention any optimizations.
Seeing as the Poco X3 NFC is a fairly new device, it is safe to assume that it is in line for an update to Android 11. Recently, we saw reports that the company is already testing Android 11 for this device, more on that here.
We shall continue to keep an eye on these Poco X3 NFC camera issues and update as and when we get more info so stay tuned to PiunikaWeb for that.
