Xiaomi fans know about the scrapped global MIUI beta testing program. Matter of fact, avid fans will also know a thing or two about the program that took over from this beta program.
For the uninitiated, well, Xiaomi replaced the global beta testing program with what it calls Mi Pilot MIUI Testers for Global Stable ROM.
This program is meant to provide early access to upcoming stable MIUI updates to a few owners of select devices in order to collect necessary feedback.
Depending on the nature of feedback collected from Mi Pilot testers, Xiaomi will determine whether to proceed with the wider rollout or halt the process to fix any bugs that may have been discovered.
Around Christmas time, Xiaomi published a list of devices that will be participating in the latest round of Mi Pilot program. The list had the likes of Poco F1, Redmi Note 7, and Redmi Note 5 Pro, otherwise known as Redmi Note 5 in markets outside India.
But in the latest round of recruitment, Xiaomi has locked out these devices on the grounds that enough of them have already been selected into the Mi Pilot testers program.
As for the list of devices that are allowed to enter the Mi Pilot testers program, the list still includes the Redmi K20/Mi 9T and Redmi K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro, Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and the Mi 8.

To enroll in the Mi Pilot testers program, submit your Mi account ID, device model, current MIUI version (with complete build tag) and email address via this online form.
