Developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts, Plants vs Zombies 2 is a tower defense game that was released back in 2013. Unlike its predecessor, the game is based on the freemium model.

It features a single-player campaign as well as a multiplayer PvP mode called Arena that can be unlocked after getting the Map of Space-Time-Ness.

If you want to play PvP, you will need gauntlets that can be bought using gems or watching ads. Moreover, the game allows players to play a free match every four hours.

However, Plants vs Zombies players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that Arena mode is causing the game to crash. Many say that the issue is only limited to the Arena mode with the single-player mode working just fine.

Also, some say that the ads are causing the game to crash as well. Players are frustrated since they are unable to complete their free matches and collect the associated rewards.

Thankfully, EA Help shared that Plants vs Zombies developers are aware of the Arena crashing issue and that it is currently under investigation. Unfortunately, they did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed.

Until then, those affected will have to live with the Arena bug or avoid playing it altogether. We hope EA fixes it as soon as possible since PvP is one of the core aspects of the game.

Rest assured, we will be keeping an eye out on further developments and let you know when a fix comes out, so make sure you stay tuned.
