The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have managed to stay in the spotlight for all sorts of reasons. While the device has really impressive hardware, bugs and issues affecting Android 12 users have ruined the overall user experience for many.
Just a few days after its release, users had complained about the fingerprint scanner is slow and inconsistent.
Now, many Pixel 6 owners say that the fingerprint scanner’s brightness is blinding them whenever they unlock their devices at night.
This is really frustrating if you are someone who wants uses their phone before sleeping or in darkness. Some are wondering if there is a way to adjust the fingerprint scanner’s brightness or disable it altogether.
Unfortunately, it looks like there is no way to adjust the fingerprint scanner brightness since it is an optical sensor that needs to light up to scan a fingerprint.
Moreover, some device owners want Google to bring back the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner since it is easy to access and faster than Google’s implementation of in-display scanner.
Since adjusting the in-display fingerprint sensor brightness is impossible on the Pixel 6, do you think Google should ditch it in favor of the rear-mounted scanner in future Pixel phones?
