New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on January 31, 2022) follows:
The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have managed to stay in the spotlight ever since they were launched in October last year.
While some said they are yet to run into bugs of any sort, many said they are tired of Google messing up the software.
That being said, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users have reported several issues with Bluetooth in the last few months, with the December update causing the devices to reboot into recovery when connected to Bluetooth audio devices.
Pixel 6 forgetting Bluetooth devices
Now, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users are reporting that the phone is forgetting some previously paired devices. This is really irritating for everyone, especially for those who use Bluetooth headsets on a daily basis.
Pixel 6 Phone app not showing Bluetooth device names during calls
And as if this wasn’t annoying enough, users are reporting another issue where the Pixel 6 Phone app is not showing Bluetooth device names during calls.
This is causing many to be confused since they have to randomly choose between the connected Bluetooth devices and hope it is the one they want to switch to. You can see in the image below what it looks like.
Unfortunately, Google is yet to comment on any of these issues, making it unclear if and when they will be fixed. As always, we’ll keep an active track of the developments on this one and update the story, as and when required.
In the meantime, make sure to check out our dedicated Pixel 6 bug tracker to see which bugs are currently affecting users.
