Peacock presents Meet Cute, a New York love story (with a time-travel twist). Streaming Wednesday, September 21, the romantic comedy follows the tale of Gary and Shiela, played by Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson. According to the official logline of the movie, when they first meet, “it’s love at first sight… until we find their magical date wasn’t fated at all.” They have been falling in love repeatedly because Sheila has a time machine. But when the ideal night is never quite enough, Sheila goes back in time to transform Gary into the ideal man.
Together with Davidson and Cuoco, Noga Pnueli served as executive producer on the film Meet Cute, which was directed by Alex Lehmann. Davidson most recently made an appearance in the Gen Z horror parody Bodies Bodies Bodies, and he has recently been cast in Craig Gillespie’s upcoming GameStop movie Dumb Money opposite Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, and Sebastian Stan. Joe Pesci will also appear in the comedian’s upcoming Peacock series Bupkis. Cuoco, who is well known for her role on The Big Bang Theory, most recently made appearances in seasons two and three of the animated series Harley Quinn on HBO Max.
