Paramount Plus is the latest entrant in the on-demand video streaming niche. Launched in March this year, it is the replacement to CBS All Access.
The streaming service also gives you access to programs from BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, The Smithsonian Channel, MTV, and CBS.
Recently, Evil Season 2 Episode 5 began streaming exclusively on Paramount Plus. The show debuted its first season on the CBS network.
Ever since the episode’s availability, users have reported that they are having issues with the audio. According to viewers, it is impossible to turn off the narrator when watching the latest episode.
The narrator/audio description feature is meant for the visually impaired. Initially, some Paramount Plus thought the episode started with storytelling, but that was not the case.
It looks like the problem is only limited to Episode 5 Season 2, with user reports suggesting that the audio in other episodes is working as intended.
Paramount Plus was quick to acknowledge the audio issue with Evil Season 2 Episode 5. The company says they are working on a fix. However, there is no ETA in sight.
In the meantime, some users have found a workaround for those watching Evil on Roku TV. If you cannot turn off the narrator, try changing the “Audio Track” to “Dolby Digital.”
Another possible workaround involves streaming Evil Season 2 Episode 5 on the phone, and casting it to the TV. This has also fixed the audio issue for some users.
