In recent years, on-demand multimedia services have grown exponentially, receiving more and more big names.
Paramount+ is one of the youngest streaming services. However, it offers an attractive and varied catalog that includes football, classic Nickelodeon content, the entire popular Star Trek franchise, and more.
Like other similar services, Paramount Plus has some features to enhance the user experience. For instance, the ‘autoplay’ feature seeks to speed up binge-watching by automatically loading the next episode of a show.
But currently, there is a bug in Paramount+ where the autoplay feature is skipping the current show and jumping to another.
Paramount+ autoplay not working properly
According to multiple reports, the Paramount Plus autoplay feature is not working properly and thus complicating the user experience instead of enhancing it.
Paramount+ ‘autoplay’ should generate quick transitions to the next chapter of the current show, without the user having to do anything.
But instead, the feature is switching to another entirely different show, forcing viewers to go back to the content list and manually search for the next episode of the show they are watching.
I also noticed it no longer shows me my Continue Watching section, and ONLY DS9 shows which episodes I’ve watched. All my other series show that I haven’t watched any episodes 😕 Source
Issue present on multiple platforms
The issue is not limited to a particular platform, as there are reports coming from users of Roku devices, Android TV and more.
Edit: I watch on an Roku Ultra (2019 version) Source
Official acknowledgment
The Paramount+ team is already aware of the issue and is working on a fix. But there is no ETA for its rollout yet.
