The Oppo A-series of devices is a pretty popular line for many users across the globe, and for good reason. Unlike the Reno series that primarily targets the mid-range segment, A-series caters to the lower-end segment. However, these devices still manage to deliver a pretty solid Android experience, hence the popularity among many youths who are often working with tight budgets. One way that game developers have recently been working to get their popular titles in the hands of as many players as possible is by bringing them to next-gen consoles. Sony has established some clear patterns when it comes to the PlayStation Plus subscription service, revealing the new free games on the last Wednesday of every month and adding the next batch on the first Tuesday of every month. Since the launch of the PlayStation 5, PS Plus has usually consisted of two free PS4 games and one free PS5 game in any given month, with some exceptions. However, some PlayStation Plus subscribers are seeing an extra free game listed in the PlayStation Store, though it’s not possible for them to claim it....

The PlayStation 5 is a hot commodity pretty much everywhere around the world, with one notable and rather surprising exception – Sony’s own home country of Japan. On a worldwide basis, the PS5 represented Sony’s biggest console launch ever, but in Japan, it was actually their worst launch to date. According to a recent Japanese GamesIndustry.biz article from ACE Research Institute analyst Hideki Yasuda (thanks to ResetEra user SinCItyAssassin for the translation), the PS5 sold only 240,000 units in Japan in its first six weeks, which is less than any other Sony console, from the original PSOne to the PS4 (although we are trending above the PSP)....

PS5 shortages are expected to extend into next year due to high levels of demand, Sony’s Chief Financial Officer, Hiroki Totoki has said. Last month we already reported that shortages for Sony’s next-gen console aren’t expected to end this year, but according to Sony, shortages might even extend into 2022. At least, that’s what Sony’s Chief Financial Officer told investors following the company’s most recent financial earnings. “As I said earlier, we’re aiming for more sales volume than the PS4 [during year 2]”, Totoki already told investors last month....
