New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on October 05, 2022) follows:
Overwatch 2, the most recent installment in the popular saga, has been available for a few hours. You can play the new hero shooter from PC and multiple consoles (PlayStation, Xbox and Switch) for free.
Unfortunately, the launch of the game has not been without problems.
For instance, we recently covered how the Overwatch 1 progress and items is missing for many Overwatch 2 players after merging PC and console accounts.
Now, several gamers are dealing with a launch pack bug. More specifically, they are not receiving the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack coins or items.
Overwatch 2 players not receiving Watchpoint Pack coins or items
The Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack is an optional purchase that comes with multiple skins, in-game currency, and even the Season 1 Premium Battle Pass.
That said, the content of the pack is not available to many players who purchased the pack.
It’s worth pointing out that the Watchpoint Pack isn’t cheap, costing 39.99 USD or £34.99. So, not being able to access the pack content from the start is causing a lot of frustration among players.
I just logged on for the first time and I don’t have the two legendary skins, the OW coins, or the free premium pass. Anyone know a fox for this or why it could be happening? Thanks. Source
So I purchased the Overwatch 2 watchpoint pack on PS4 last month but now it says I don’t own it but it took my money anyone else have this issue? Source
The Watchpoint Pack content might be loading slowly on the servers
Reports suggest that the issue is due to the Watchpoint Pack content loading slow, as the items in the pack have been appearing after several hours for some players.
There is still no official acknowledgment of the issue from the Blizzard team. We will update this story as events unfold.
Everyone relax; I was missing all watchpoint rewards when I logged in first. No coins, no Kiriko, no premium BP.
Update: Premium BP tiers have been unlocked as well Source
