Overwatch 2 is the sequel to the original Overwatch that challenges the world’s heroes to band together, amp themselves up, and face adversaries from all around the world.
However, it also receives criticism from a number of players owing to the bugs escalated by updates or overpowered characters. For instance, we saw how an almost invincible Sombra and Zarya faced enormous backlash.
Overwatch 2 Ramattra Ultimate overpowered
And now, some Overwatch 2 players (1,2,3,4,5,6) have taken to social media platforms to report that the character Ramattra Ultimate seems unusually overpowered.
Reports suggest that some players find it difficult to beat Ramattra even with the help of characters like Mercy, Mei, Ana, Sigma, Zarya, and more. It seems that he can sustain significant harm and continue to move about.
Moreover, in Nemesis form or when performing the ultimate, there is no movement penalty. But Ramattra seemingly receives a flat 20% movement speed advantage in this form, giving him an edge over others.
This is incredibly frustrating for players and has prompted them to demand a nerf of the character. For reference, you can check out the experience of playing with Ramattra in the video attached below.
Despite players’ continuous queries and complaints, there is still no official word from Blizzard on this situation.
We hope Overwatch 2 developers listen to players’ feedback and make the suggested changes to the character.
MMR manipulation upsetting
Overwatch 2 developers recently gave a deeper insight into the internal Matchmaking Rating system. It was disclosed that ‘when a player wins more than 50% of their matches, they start to increase their MMR faster’.
However, this wasn’t well-received by the gamers’ community (1,2,3,4,5,6). As it implied that the matchmaking system was created with the goal of limiting a player’s potential to win.
So the idea to assign players with higher ratings to people with low MMRs to balance out is quite absurd to a number of players.
It’s highly unlikely that Blizzard will do something about this issue as it was intended to balance out a high number of players’ wins.

03:50 pm (IST): Overwatch got a new update recently that, among other things, brought changes that affect Ramattra. There are not only balancing tweaks, but also bug fixes for the character.
