Outlook is a web-based email service by Microsoft that allows users to send and receive email messages, manage calendars, and store contact information.

Microsoft also recently introduced a new version of Outlook for Windows to all of its Office testers.

While this is certainly quite exciting, Microsoft still needs to take care of an issue that’s currently troubling iOS users.

Outlook app crashing when ‘Organize by Thread’ is disabled

Many are reporting an issue where the Outlook iOS app keeps showing emails in threads even when the ‘Organize by Thread’ setting is off.

The app reportedly starts crashing whenever users try to switch off the feature that organizes messages as conversational threads by the subject of the email.

According to reports, this issue surfaced after the latest v4.2238.1 update.

Affected users have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but to no avail. Even clearing the cache in Safari and restarting the device doesn’t seem to fix the problem.

Official acknowledgment

Fortunately, Microsoft has acknowledged the issue where the Outlook app is crashing when the ‘Organize by Thread’ setting is disabled.

There are no potential workarounds that can help resolve the issue temporarily.

We hope that the team finds out the root cause of the problem and fixes it as soon as possible.

We’ll keep tabs on further developments and update the article as and when something noteworthy comes up.
