On Tuesday, February 8, Trace Ellis Ross and Leslie Jordan announced the nomination list of the 94th Academy Awards. The nominees had been announced through a live stream at 6:48 pm IST. The final winners will be awarded on March 27. The Oscar 2022 event will be held in Los Angeles.

In the Actor in Leading Role category, the nominations for the Oscar Awards are Andrew Garfield for Tick Tick Boom, Benedict Cumberbatch for The Power of the Dog, Javier Bardem for Being in Ricardos, Will Smith for King Richard and Denzel Washington for The Tragedy of Macbeth.
The Power of the Dog has bagged 12 Oscar nominations this year including best actor in leading role, best actress in leading role, best director and best supporting actor. In the Actress in Leading Role, the nominees are Jessica Chastain for The Eyes of a Tammy Faye, Olivia Colman for The Lost Daughter, Penelope Cruz for Paralled Mothers, Nicole Kidman for Being the Ricardos and Kristen Stewart for Spencer. Jane Campion has been nominated for the Best Director for her film Power of the Dog.
The final winners for each category will be announced on March 27 in Los Angeles.
