Coming to the specification Oppo A16 features a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display with 720×1,600 pixels of resolution. It comes with an Eye Care Mode that allows users to enjoy content with its sunlight and moonlight screens that dim and brighten automatically based on your ambient lighting conditions. Its ‘AI Smart Backlighting’ learns about your environmental conditions to provide you with a “customized” smart backlight experience. By turning your screen black while playing a video, you not only conserve battery but will also be able to use online video apps to stream music at the same time. The phone runs on ColorOS 11.1 on top of Android 11. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a MicroSD card.
In terms of cameras, Oppo A16 comes with a triple rear camera set up that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Upfront there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
In addition to this, the device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with Smart Temperature Control that monitors the heat that is generated while the device is on charge and reduces the charging current if it is found to be too high. Oppo A16 is claimed to offer up to 34 hours of call time or 21 hours of YouTube video playback. Moreover, its Super Nighttime Standby mode consumes as little as 1.21% power in 8 hours. For connectivity, it includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
