Android 11 has been officially available since back in September 2020 and since then, we’ve seen various OEMs strive to deliver their custom Android 11 skins to eligible devices.

Not to be left behind, we have seen OnePlus rolling out its Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 to the OnePlus 8 series of devices, albeit with a few bugs and issues.

Other eligible OnePlus devices such as the OnePlus Nord, have been left in the dark for a while, earlier reports indicating that we’d see a November 2020 rollout of OxygenOS 11, claims that obviously didn’t materialize.

We’ve been following closely the reports of OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus Nord and you can check out our detailed coverage of the same here.

Well, OnePlus seems to be hitting 2021 running as today, the company has announced the commencement of the Open Beta program for the OxygenOS 11 build for OnePlus Nord.

Below is the changelog.

Should you want to take part in this OxygenOS 11 Open Beta program for the OnePlus Nord, all you need to do is download and install the Open Beta 1 zip file on your device.

Ambient Display – Newly added Insight clock style, a joint creation with Parsons School of Design. It will change according to the phone usage data ( To set: Settings > Customization > Clock Style) – Added Canvas feature that can automatically draw a wireframe picture based on a lock screen photo on your phone (Path: Settings > Customization > Wallpaper > Canvas > Choose photo preview and it can be generated automatically） – Newly added 10 new clock styles ( To set: Settings > Customization > Clock Style).

Shelf – Newly shelf interface design, the interface is clearer – Added weather widget, animation effect smarter
