OnePlus Nord represented the company’s new trajectory, offering capable devices that despite not spotting the top-tier Qualcomm 800-series chip, still offer a decent Android experience.
The device launched with Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 out of the box and earlier reports hinted at a November 2020 release date.
Of course, that was never to be, especially bearing in mind OnePlus’ struggle with bugs and issues in its Android 11-based OxygenOS 11.
Fast forward to early March 2021 and despite a few mishaps around the initial rollout, the company managed to deliver stable Android 11 to these device owners.
Now, it is coming to light that these OnePlus Nord devices have a pretty critical issue after the update to Android 11-based OxygenOS 11.
A section of OnePlus Nord users are reporting issues with the device’s GPS system which reportedly results in widely inaccurate location data.
These reports have been slowly trickling in (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) which leads us to believe that it doesn’t affect all OnePlus Nord users, only a sizable section of them.

At the time of writing, OnePlus was yet to acknowledge this issue and there doesn’t seem to be a viable workaround just yet.
