OnePlus deviated from its tradition of packing the top tier Snapdragon 8xx chip on its devices with the OnePlus Nord.
However, the company did not skim much as the OnePlus Nord remains a solid choice for anyone in the market for a decent Android experience without breaking the bank.
The Nord’s spec-sheet is nothing to sneeze at. It sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip that is 5G-capable and that has received critical acclaim from various quarters.
It has a 6.4-inch Full HD AMOLED panel with an impressive 90Hz refresh rate. All in all, a rather complete smartphone package.
On the camera front, the OnePlus Nord doesn’t skim either. It has a 32MP main front-facing camera with EIS and an 8MP ultra-wide.
From the device’s official spec-sheet, it is evident that the OnePlus Nord does support 4K video recording at up to 60fps.
Unfortunately, this is where users of the OnePlus Nord are facing a little bit of an issue.
According to countless user reports on the community forums, the OnePlus Nord isn’t able to record video at this resolution and frame rate using the front-facing camera.
A scroll through the community forums and you will come across many similar complaints (1,2,3,4) of the Nord front-facing camera.
Some users have had a little luck after restarting their devices but the issue seems to persist for the most part.
