OnePlus has been pretty steadfast in pushing out regular updates to many of its devices. We have seen a couple of Beta builds for the OnePlus 7 devices and many more monthly patches for its other devices.
Today, OnePlus is rolling out the May 2020 Android security patch to the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro devices. This update, besides bumping up the security patch level, also packs a bunch of new features and improvements fro these two devices.
So what exactly does this update bring to the table for the OnePlus 8? Well, some of the highlights of this build, the OnePlus 8 Oxygen OS 10.5.8 include the addition of support for H.265 HEVC codec and keyword whitelist among many other options and enhancements.

Of course, as is the case with many other OnePlus updates, this is going to be a staged rollout and as such, it will be pushed out to eligible devices in phases. However, if you are not patient and would like to check out these features immediately, below is the download link to the OTA file.
