OnePlus has had a pretty decent track record when it comes to rolling out updates to its devices. This could be due to the fact that the company doesn’t have a catalog that is as vast as other Android OEMs.

OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, the company’s 2020 flagship devices have been pretty well updated. Already, there’s an Android 11 Beta 2 update available for these devices so it is safe to say that these two are among the first devices in line for an update to Android 11.

Even as that continues, users of the Oneplus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro on the stable channel have not been left behind. Today, the company is rolling out the latest July 2020 security patch to these devices.

This update brings more than just a little bump in the system’s security patch level. With this update, the OnePlus 8 devices now get better support for the OnePlus Buds. This update also fixes issues with wireless charging and ARCore among other issues. Below is the update’s changelog.

This update is rolling out to the Indian OnePlus 8 Pro as OxygenOS 10.5.12.IN11DA, for the EU variant as Oxygen OS 10.5.11.IN11BA and as Oxygen OS 10.5.12.IN11AA in North America. The OnePlus 8 is getting the same July update with software version number Oxygen OS 10.5.10.IN21DA in India, Oxygen OS 10.5.9.IN21BA in the EU and Oxygen OS 10.5.11.IN21AA in North America.

At the moment, we don’t have the download links for these updates but we shall update this post once those are available to us. Stay tuned.
